The KALIDA VFD ASSOCIATION is an all-volunteer fire department serving the village of Kalida and surrounding areas in Putnam County, Ohio. Our members are your neighbors โ local professionals, farmers, and business owners who train year-round to protect lives and property.
We operate with a fleet of modern apparatus, maintain mutual aid agreements with surrounding departments, and invest continuously in training and equipment. Our commitment is simple: respond when called, and serve with professionalism.

Structural, vehicle, and wildland fire response using engine, tanker, and brush truck apparatus.
First responder and BLS-level medical response coordinated with Putnam County EMS. AED equipped on all apparatus.
Hydraulic rescue tools and stabilization equipment for motor vehicle accidents on I-75 and local roads.
Swiftwater and ice rescue capabilities for the Blanchard River, local creeks, and farm ponds.
